Congratulations to all the players in a successful season. WINTER EVENTS: Peter Dewhurst has offered to stage a Quiz Evening on Wednesday 26th November 7.30pm £5 pp supper included. AGM Sat 6th December at 10am, Nominations for several posts required one month before that date: Club Secretary, Minutes Secretary as Abdul is stepping down and all other posts are open to any willing volunteer who wishes to keep the club running as all incumbents, even if willing to be re-elected, stand down at the AGM. ANNUAL DINNER Friday 27th February 2009 to be held at Colne Golf Club 7pm for 7.30pm (tombola etc set up from 6.30pm) £17 per person. See menu attached. Lawns are now closed for necessary maintenance but helpers are required on Monday 13th October from 1pm for hedge tidying (picking up after the cutters). Gloves and secateurs would be useful. Do have a look at the Website, it is full of news, photographs and information, poems provided by players, pictures etc. If you do not have your own PC equipment library staff are very helpful. Committee meetings 2008. Wed 10th Dec 7.30pm. AGM Sat 6th Dec 10am. Meetings are open to any member and are held in the Pavilion.If you have any items for the Agenda for the next Committee Meeting, please let Abdul Ahmad know at least 10 days before the next meeting., by 30 Nov for the10th Dec meeting.
