Issue No. 87 January 2007
Happy New Year!

Winter/Spring events: The One Ball competition attracted four entrants and decent weather and Abdul Ahmad was the winner. The Dominoes Evening on Wednesday January 17th was another success with 24 battling it out and Abdul again won for the men and Janet Roper for the women. Thanks are due to the Ropers and the Halls for excellent catering.

Annual Dinner   Friday 23rd February at Colne Golf Club, 45 have booked so far, any late bookings to
Ann Dowdall, 2 The Coach House, Bishopdale Court, SETTLE, N.Yorks BD24 9EB.
Will those attending please bring prizes for the Raffle and the Tombola (unwanted Christmas presents possibly?)
Can trophy holders get them inscribed and bring them to the dinner for formal presentation.

Open Day   has been moved from Saturday 31st March to Saturday 2nd June because most of the workers at these events were going to be away for the earlier date.

There is also a huge list of jobs to be done (a few have already been cleared by the regular workers) some small, some not and we hope to achieve some of them during the close season i.e. Jan/Feb on Monday and Tuesday mornings (when a supervisor will be available) or at any other time as long as you are clear what you are doing and where the equipment is kept and how it is to be used. Please come and help to keep the club running. Lawns will need work from Mid March, feeding, weeding etc.
