Issue No. 111 April 2010
Our condolences to the Beverley club on the death of Mike Evans.

We currently have 49 members of which 33 are full members, the remainder being non playing, or Far or Near Country members. With 5 lawns we have ample room for many more members and we all need to encourage more people to join. It has been decided that anyone paying green fees of £4 to try the game shall have the total recorded in the diary deducted from their membership if they join. Fees paid should always be recorded and deposited in the green pig. The Open Day on 26th June is another opportunity to interest visitors in becoming members. Please support the day in any way you can. Posters and car stickers will be available shortly.

Work Parties continue and if you can give some time the dates are:4th,5th,11th,12th,13th &14th May. Preparations for the Golf Tournament on 8th/9th May, stop boards to be painted and two stands to be made, shelves for the clip and peg boxes to be put up in the huts, hoop holes to be marked and other painting and maintenance work. In inclement weather the inside job of laying the carpet tiles in the office, which will finish the work begun last year.

We hosted the Ilkley Croquet Club on Tuesday 20th April and played the Rainbow Game(see previous Rush) which was enjoyed. We will visit them on Thursday 24th June for friendly games let Geoff Whitaker know if you are able to attend. 01282 865565.
