Aug 1st Short v Bowdon (H) Win 9-7
Aug 1st Golf v Culcheth (H) Draw 11-11
Aug 4th Golf v Fylde (A) Draw 11-11
Aug 8th EPL v Belsay Hall (H) Win 7-0
Aug 9th Handicap v Bowdon St Mary (A) Win 4-3
Aug 15th Handicap v Southport (H) Win 6-1
Aug 16th Golf v Chester (H) Win 15-7

The short team have some re-arranged matches to play away, please contact Peter Dewhurst if you can play in any of these before the season ends.

Pendle have won the NW Handicap League having won 6 out 6 games played.

Pendle still in the Semis of the Secretary Shield.


2010 tournaments:
The CA needs dates etc finalised by end Sept, Managers need to confirm dates, no manager at present for August Bank Holiday Tournament 2010.


Groundwork: Volunteers needed to assist cutting hedges, scarifying lawns and re-seeding. Check with Geoff Whitaker when.

The Allitt mower has been reset, but MUST NOT be used unless drag matting has removed worms casts first.
Worm suppressant has had first course administered.


OPEN DAY Saturday 20th June went well in spite of showers and we gained £256.


GROUP VISITS:
The Rotarians cancelled owing to Burnley Football match same night.

Earby Community Centre have an Autumn Fair on 3rd October, we are supplying raffle prizes, mugs, pens and free trial games voucher. Books of raffle tickets on sale in the club just £1 a book


Walter Flattery is recovering from a hernia operation. Kathryn Schofield has had a fall. We wish them both a speedy recovery.
Sadly John Hallows died of his brain tumour on 18th August, our sympathy to Julie Hallows.


If you can help with opening up or locking up at tournaments please fill in the sheets in the pavilion.


Re the bins These go out alternate Sundays and need to be brought back in on Monday. Please help if you are turning up to play,we have more players than bins.


Players are also asked to avoid the corners when playing other than in matches, begin your game along the boundary below the corner i.e. furthest away from first hoop!

COMMITTEE MEETINGS:
Next committee meeting Mon 14th Sept 10.30am. Anything you want on the agenda should be sent to Geoff Whitaker by Tue 1st Sept (via email to BD or by phone or post to GW). You are welcome to attend any committee meeting but may not vote.
