Groundwork:
Lawn 4 which has a large boggy depression in its centre and the Lawn 3 boundary are to be slowly raised through top dressing. Relaying the drains in Lawn 4 and re-turfing proving too costly for the club at present. Worm casts will continue to be removed by drag matting, and Robert Sagar has agreed to the use of his machine to tow the mat, when dry. The lawns need to be mowed to 10mm thereafter. The committee looked into the costs of a trench drain in front of the pavilion to relieve standing water there, a quote has been obtained verbally for this work. Robin has offered to obtain some wood and screws for new feet for the stop boards and may require some assistance to complete. The pavilion rear and the huts need another coat of preservative. Peter Dewhurst is to obtain anti-slip coating for the pavilion decking. Winter fertiliser has been ordered for February spreading and worm irritant will be sprayed in March. Any help offered for any of these tasks will be appreciated.
