Golf team loses to Llanfairfech in the league at home. Report by Barbara Dutton.

The match began in wonderful sunshine and the home team of Geoff Whitaker, Hugh Armitage, Robert Hall and Jonty Parkinson held the visitors to a 3-3 draw in the doubles. Both sides were fielding novice match players.

After a good lunch and a short period before the rain came in at 3pm, honours were going to the visitors in the singles but Pendle pulled a couple back at the end of the day, still to lose the singles by 9 games to 7.

Final result; Pendle 10- Llanfairfechan 12.
