Pendle lost 100% record at Bury in the NWFCC Handicap League. Report by David Pollitt. Pendle & Craven: Andrew Webb 4.5, David Pollitt 7, Robin Delves 10 and Catherine Parnell 12 Bury Caesars: Malcolm Hardman 14, Richard Harvey 14, Len Forkin 22 and Colleen Forkin 22 This was our final league match of the season, could we keep a 100% record? We were giving away 69 bisques, so it was going to be difficult. In the morning both singles games went to Pendle but the doubles match was an easy victory to Bury C. All 3 games finished early so we had an early lunch. 2 - 1 up. After lunch only Catherine Parnell managed a victory taking her handicap to 11 from 12. Andrew’s opponent pegged one of Andrew's balls out approx. one hour from the end. This stopped Andrew clawing back the lead his adversary had built up with bisques. Our opponents should have been named Bury Bisques not Bury Caesars. Results: M Hardman & L Forkin beat C Parnell & R Delves +23 A Webb beat R Harvey +12.
