13 April 2008 Pendle & Craven lose the opening Advanced League Match to Fylde. Report by Peter Wilson Result: Fylde 32 Pendle 18 The match was played in a three man format at Pendle's request. A little wet under foot the rain stayed away all day. After a good showing at the Easter tournament, Lee took Fylde's number one position ( by 1 index point!) Peter played number two and, after Liz (tummy) pulled out, Andrew came in as number three. Pendle fielded Filsak, Schofield & Ahmad and were the weaker side by 1.5 HPs. Each Fylde player scored two victories giving us a game score of 6-3 which translates to 32/18 after adjustments. Each Fylde player was involved in a matches having a tight ending with all clips near or on the peg. Fortune favoured Fylde as each of these games went our way. | |||||||
