Handicap Team succeeds against Bury Caesars at home.

Pendle entertained Bury Caesars in the NWFCC Handicap League Match at Earby. A heavy film of dew covered the lawns and just before the games commenced rain started to fall. Fortunately it soon stopped. The weather improved as the day progressed.

Pendle won both the morning doubles. John Filsak played a controlled all break to rover at the first opportunity. This forced Tony Phillips to use all his sides bisques to make an all round break and peel John through rover and peg him out. The game was finely posed with Tony at peg, his partner Colleen Forkin at 2 and opponent Abdul Ahmad on 6. Abdul wrapped the game up in a few turns. Robin Delves and Peter Dewhurst had a relatively comfortable win against Richard Harvey and Len Forkin.

Pendle served a nice meal at lunch time. The afternoon session began in glorious sunshine. Tony Phillips dispatched John Fisak quickly with the luxury of 3.5 bisques. Abdul Ahmad saw Richard Harvey off despite conceeding 6 bisques. Robin Delves struggled against Len Forkin. Peter Dewhurst took his full allocation of time to overcome Colleen Forkin.
