9 July 2008 Sunshine brings the best out of the Golf Croquet League Team. What a difference from the waterlogged conditions experienced last weekend. The lawns were dry and firm and bathed in sunshine. Pendle played hosts to Fylde. The day started with doubles matches before lunch. Pendle won all the games. Maureen Whitaker served a nice lunch. 4 rounds of singles matches took place in the afternoon. Barbara Wilkinson played remarkably well throughtout the day. She won all her matches.
