Advanced League Match abandoned due to..........!!!

Pendle entertained Bowdon Cannons at Earby today. The constant drizzle at the start of the
match gradually turned into showers as the morning doubles were being played. The lawns
stood up remarkably well and the visitors were 2-0 up at lunch.
The sun came out briefly whilst lunch was taken. The afternoon singles matches began in relative calm. Then quite suddenly thunder and lightening accompanied by hail stones and torrential rain descended without warning! Within minutes the lawns were waterlogged. The match was abandoned at 4.30pm.
