29 May 2008 The novices from Lancashire (Thursday night’s entourage, in charge Jean Alstead) Report by Annabel McGregor We all apart from one, were experiencing a new venture and thanks to you all at Pendle croquet you made it a night to remember. The atmosphere was perfect having chosen a balmy evening, the company was superb, since we all get on so well but mostly the success of the evening was down to you all on the evening. You were all supportive, without being over protective. We had an excellent teacher followed by diligent and fun helpers. What fun it was especially when left to our own devices, and what devices they were. Leaving a crowd of ladies with a mallet each was very brave of you. However the outcome was not too grave. Hope the lawns have survived. The après croquet was also stimulating and informative. Thanks once again for a great late afternoon and evening. I am sure you will be seeing more of us again with a few more tagged on. THANK YOU ALL ONCE AGAIN. | |||||||
