It was the time for the Resident, Near Country and Far Country Members to gather at the
Club to compete in this Annual event. They were greeted
by this season's too familiar gloomy weather. A light rain fell throughout the day. This didn't
dampen the hardy Northern players morale.Two sets of runes were thrown to pair the 12 players randomly. An experienced player was cast with an inexperienced player to compete. The games were keenly contested and close. With two couples tied on 4 wins each the outcome was decided on who beat whom basis. Eileen Gallagher kept her less experienced partner Roy Berry on a very tight leash throughout the day and their win over their closest rivals brought them the spoils of victory.
